Doniphan-Trumbull Public School is partnering with the Nebraska State Patrol, and Monty Lovelace to host an important seminar for parents and guardians called "Raising Kids in the Digital Age." This adults-only event will provide valuable information and tips on keeping your children safe from online extortion, interacting with artificial intelligence, and other digital dangers that arise every day in our highly connected world.
As technology rapidly evolves, the risks and challenges for families also grow. At this seminar, you will gain awareness and learn new skills to help navigate the digital landscape where our kids now live. Experts will share guidance on topics like:
- Monitoring your child's online activity
- Preventing exposure to online predators
- Teaching smart social media habits
- Spotting misinformation and AI-generated content
This seminar will provide you with knowledge to better understand the digital world your children engage in so you can feel more empowered to keep them safe.
The seminar will be held on Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the high school commons. Free refreshments, including hot dogs, chips, drinks, and dessert, will be provided. The refreshments will be available beginning at 6:00 PM.
